A Video Show of NIGPAS was released

“Probing the Earth’s History” – the propaganda video of NIGPAS was released in November 2016 after 6 months preparation. The video was directed by FENG Li from the Department of Feature Reports of Nanjing Broadcasting Cooperation.

NIGPAS is a well-known research centre for invertebrate palaeontology, palaeobotany and stratigraphy. The work of the NIGPAS researchers and staff is of great importance to the basic research, applied studies and public outreach. It contributes to the better understanding of the origin of life, the Cambrian explosion, the radiation and extinction of life and the chronostratigraphic standards in the world. It also made great progress on the basic research for fossil energy and sedimental mineral resources. The institute was awarded a series of honors, including the 1st class of National Natural Science Awards. It made significant efforts on the public outreach of paleobiology and stratigraphy.
