In October 2018, The Strategic Priority Research Programme of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) entitled "Processes and Mechanisms of Organismal and Environmental Evolution during the Critical Intervals in Earth History" was initiated by NIGPAS, together with eight Chinese institutions and more than 360 scientists participated and total funding about 250 million RMB Yuan. The program aims to reveal interaction and co-evolution of life and environment in the entire Earth history, especially during the critical transition intervals.
