The Institute is well equipped, including a scanning electron microscope (LEO1530VP) equipped with an energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscope, a transmission electron microscope (JEM-1230), a Zeiss LSM 710 NLO laser scanning microscopes, a Zeiss EVO 18 scanning electron microscopes, a Triple Quadrupole GC/MS/MS (Thermo Scientific TSQ Quantum GC), a Thermo Scientific MAT 253 stable isotope ratio mass spectrometer (coupled with the KIEL IV Carbonate Device), and a Thermo DELTA V Advantage Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer (coupled with FLASH HT2000).
The basic equipments and spaces for traditional palaeontology, geology and molecular palaeontology study are also provided by the Technical Services Centre, such as optical microscope with imaging system, Thermal Cycler (Bio-Rad S1000), Centrifuge (Eppendorf 5417R) and Gel Doc TM XR+ Imaging system (Bio-Rad), etc.
All researchers are encouraged to use these laboratory facilities or service; cost is arranged through research grants.
