At the invitation of Dr. YANG Qun, Prof. Gert W？rheide, Chair of Palaeontology & Geobiology and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Geosciences (Ludwig-Maximilians-University at Münich) and Director of the Bavarian State Collections of Palaeontology and Geology (Germany) paid a visit to Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences(NIGPAS) and its Field Station of Early Life Research at Chengjiang, Yunnan Province, from March 17 to 28, 2014.
W？rheide conducted academic exchange and cooperation with NIGPAS researchers on molecular paleobiology and other topics; he gave an open seminar on “Molecular Paleobiology: from spineless creatures to dinosaurs”.
