GBDB leader visit the Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum (NHM) is one of the major institution on the palaeontological research. Prof. FAN Junxuan from NIGPAS, the leader of the Geobiodiversity Database (GBDB) was invited to visit NHM and give a one-hour keynote lecture introducing the GBDB, which is presently the formal databases of the International Commission on Stratigraphy (ICS) and International Palaeontological Association (IPA). Over 20 research staff of NHM attended the meeting, and discussed about the possibility of future collaboration on the digitization of the museum collections through the GBDB platform. After the meeting, Prof. FAN visited the database team of NHM and investigated the data sources of NHM.
