On October 11 - 17, 2019, the first international symposium of the International Geoscience Program IGCP 679 project "Cretaceous Geodynamics and Asian Paleoclimate" was held in Qingdao, Shandong. The conference was hosted by the NIGPAS, undertaken by the Shandong Institute of Geological Survey and the College of Earth Science and Engineering, Shandong University of Science and Technology, and co-organized by the Qingdao Institute of Geological Engineering Survey. The meeting included 2 days of indoor academic reports and exchanges, and 3-days of pre-conference field geological survey.
