On July 11–13, 2023, the 4th International Stratigraphic Congress (strati 2023) was held in Lille, France. The theme of this meeting focuses on the progress of stratigraphic research from the Precambrian to the Holocene. Nearly 300 experts and scholars from all over the world participated in this grand event. A total of 12 people from the Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NIGPAS), attended this meeting and gave oral reports respectively to introduce the latest scientific research progress in their respective research fields.
