On November 14, Jarosław Stolarski, Director of Institute of Paleobiology, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPal PAS), with WANG Jun, Director of Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NIGPAS), held a bilateral discussion and exchange ideas. The heads of relevant departments and representatives of scientists participated in the discussion.
WANG Jun firstly expressed a warm welcome to the visit of IPal PAS, and introduced the historical background, main research directions and international cooperation of NIGPAS. WANG Jun pointed out that NIGPAS is an open, comprehensive and innovative institute, and we are committed to constantly explore international cooperation channels, and strive to build a world-class scientific research platform.
Jarosław Stolarski introduced the basic situation and characteristic research directions of IPal PAS. He himself has a solid foundation of cooperation with NIGPAS, and the purpose of this short-term visit is to carry out cooperation and exchanges with researchers of NIGPAS and to hold an academic lecture.
During the discussion, the two sides reviewed the existing cooperation foundation and future cooperation directions, and they both agreed to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation by sharing scientific research resources, strengthening academic exchange visits, jointly applying for projects and training of students, so as to promote complementary advantages and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
