The field expedition of the Subcommission on Cryogenian of the ICS on the Neoproterozoic-Cambrian strata in South China has been successfully concluded

From June 13 to 21, the field expedition on the Neoproterozoic-Cambrian strata in South China, organized by the Subcommission on Cryogenian of the International Commission on Stratigraphy, was successfully concluded.

As one of the post-conference field trips of the Fifth International Geobiology Conference, this expedition was co-hosted by the Subcommission on Cryogenian and the Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NIGPAS),.

Nearly 40 scholars from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Russia, Brazil, Pakistan, as well as numerous domestic universities and research institutes participated in the field excursion. The field expedition route spanned Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, Guangxi, and other regions, covering over 1,000 kilometers.

This field research not only enhanced academic exchange but also fostered international collaboration.
