l The 30th Annual Conference of the Palaeontological Society of China was held online from May 25 to 27, 2022, with offline venues in Xi'an and Nanjing. The conference focus on the theme of "Evolution of ancient ecosystems and habitability of the Earth", with 30 academic topics, 489 abstracts, 25 presentations.
l The annual academic conference of the Palynological Society of China with the theme of "Towards a Greener China" was held in Yichang from September 16 to 22, 2022. A total of 192 member representatives from 55 institutions across China registered for the conference and 105 abstracts were received, including 59 oral presentations (16 online) and 11 panel presentations.
l The Sedimentary Basin Research Center of State Key Laboratory of Palaeobiology and Stratigraphy (SBRCLPS) was founded at NIGPAS on October 25, 2022, with more than 300 people from relevant institutions and universities attended the launch ceremony and online conference. The research team of SBRCLPS is mainly composed of young scientists who carry out research on sedimentology and sedimentary geochemistry.
l The Department of Cenozoic Biological Evolution and Environment was founded at NIGPAS on November 2, 2022, to explore the evolution process of terrestrial and marine life in the Cenozoic era and its relationship with environmental change. More than 300 people attended the online ceremony and conference.
l On November 29, the 2022 Annual Young Scholars Forum of the Palaeontological Society of Jiangsu Province was held in Nanjing. Seven young palaeontologists were invited to give academic presentations at this forum.
