On April 30th, 2024, NIGPAS held the second academic forum for graduate students. In this forum, two experts were invited to give plenary lectures, eight graduate students gave academic reports, and six graduate tutors were invited to serve as evaluation experts. Nearly 50 graduate students from Nanjing participated in this academic forum.
On June 25th, 2024, the ceremony for the newly graduated students for Masters and PhDs from NIGPAS was held. This year, there are 26 graduate students including 12 PhD and 14 MSc getting their degrees.
From June 15th to 22nd, 2024, a field teaching course titled “Field Practice of Stratigraphic Palaeontology in South China” organized by NIGPAS was conducted in Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces, China. There are 48 graduate students and 8 group-leading teachers participating in this course.
From July 7th to 13th, 2024, the 9th Palaeontological Summer Camp for College Students with the theme “History Scrolls of Earth” was organized by NIGPAS. There were 31 undergraduates who joined the camp.
On January 30th, 2024, NIGPAS held the International Talents Symposium, Research Professor WANG Jun, Director of NIGPAS attended the symposium. Foreign experts and students put forward very constructive opinions and suggestions for the Institute to further enhance the international environment and strengthen overseas publicity based on their working and living experiences.
