The 9th International Conference on Fossil Insects, Arthropods, Amber was held in Xi’an

From April 18^th to 25^th, 2024, the 9^th International Conference on Fossil Insects, Arthropods and Amber was held in Xi’an. The conference was hosted by NIGPAS. More than 170 experts and scholars from more than 20 countries attended the conference. The conference set up 96 oral presentations and nearly 40 posters. Two pre- and mid-conference excursions were also conducted. During the conference, the International Paleoentomological Society (IPS) held a new election. HUANG Diying, Research Professor of NIGPAS,was elected as the new President of IPS. According to the democratic vote, Morocco was elected to hold the 10^thmeeting in 2027.
