New Integrative Stratigraphy and Timescale for China Released

Over the past decade, new technologies and more high-resolution biostratigraphic work have helped improving the formulation of stratigraphic frameworks and timescales in China. In January 2019, the new integrative stratigraphy and timescales for 13 geological periods in China from the Ediacaran to the Quaternary have recently published in a special issue of SCIENCE CHINA Earth Sciences. The research summarizes the latest advances in stratigraphy and timescale, and discusses the correlation among different blocks in China and with international timescales.
