More than 30 scientists from China, USA, Russia, Czeck Republic, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Australia, Korea, Kazakhstan etc., attended the the 15th Field Conference Symposium of the Cambrian Stage Subdivision Working Group of the International Subcommission on Cambrian Stratigraphy (ISCS) in Prague, Czech Republic, June 4~11, 2010. 

A total of 19 participants including 8 Chinese researchers presented their recent achievements and research results to the symposium. Prof. Peng Shanchi, Prof. Yuan Jinliang, Prof. Yin Leiming and Prof. Lin Ribai from Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NIGPAS) gave talks focused on the boundary of Series 2/Series 3, and GSSPs of the base of Stage 5 and the base of Stage 9 in the Cambrian System, which caused wide concern among the international colleagues. Field excursions of the symposium included visiting the Cambrian deposits and the stratotype section of the Silurian/ Devonian boundary in Bohemia region.
