Research direction

Reconstruction of paleoweathering conditions and their interaction with paleoclimatic and biotic evolution through multi-proxy cross-examination (e.g., geochemistry, mineralogical characteristics, fossil assemblages, and unique sedimentary features) during major geological transitional intervals.

Fine-grained sedimentary petrology in both marine and terrestrial basins, especially in the context of unconventional shale oil/gas basin sedimentology.
