pp. 172-202, 4 plates, in English

Abstract:

Permian radiolarians in south China belong to two different depositional facies: the platformal facies and the oceanic facies. The platformal facies (Kuhfeng Fromation) contains three radiolarian assemblage zones, namely, the Pseudoalbaillella longtanensis-P. fusiformis Zone, the Follicucullus monacanthus Zone and the F. scholasticus-Ruzhencevispongus uralicus Zone, whose ages are constrained by well established fusulinid zones. In the oceanic facies, 12 radiolarian assemblage zones are recognized, 11 of which are discovered in Qinzhou area, southeast Guangxi, the other one in Menglian area, southwestern Yunnan. Correlation of these radiolarian zones with those in Japan and USA is presented. Important Permian radiolarians from south China are systematically discussed and figured.
