Abstract:

The recent progress in Permian stratigraphy has led to an international acceptance of a Permian succession of four divisions. For operating cooperative programs of the Permian Subcommission, ISC, IUGS, a nomenclature of the Permian chronostratigraphic units is proposed. Emphasis is placed on the priority of feasible series.
